After a beautiful visit to St. Augustine we headed west. We told the boys we were making our way to Texas to visit grandma with a short stop at the Florida panhandle. After a couple of hours of driving, I told the boys I needed to find a restroom. When we pulled into Disney World complex, the boys started talking about Disney and COVID.....”How could anyone go to Disney during COVID?” ...moments later Steve said he was going the wrong way and pulled into Fort Wilderness Campsites at Disney. We told the boys we would be going to Disney for the week! They both were so overwhelmed with emotion! WE had to give the small disclosure that we were unsure what to expect...so we may or may not feel safe enough in the parks, but at 25% capacity, we would give it a try!

Well we tried it...all parks! They had incredible safety measures starting with an absolute mandatory face masks covering mouth and nose...and EVERYONE WAS FOLLOWING THE RULES - IN FLORIDA! The whole experience was crazy! An announcement was made for all to hear every half an hour, reminding everyone to do their part by washing their hands and social distancing. All ride lines had clearly marked circles 6 ft apart. You could only ride the ride with your party. Antibacterial stations were everywhere...and practically no wait times! I never thought I would EVER say this, but we were all so happy we went to Disney during COVID! We loved every park but our favorites were Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Hollywood Studios for Rise of the Resistance and Animal Kingdom for Avatar. SIX long days at the parks and every bit worth it!

Now let's talk about Fort Wilderness!!!! The greatest RV resort ever!! The amount of space you have at your site is worth the price you pay. We visited at the peak of Christmas. We could not believe how much everyone puts into decorating their RV spot! It was amazing to walk around and see the decorations.

All in all, we felt like this was not only the happiest place on earth...but also the safest! OKAY, maybe I am being a bit over the top...by "happiest" I mean we were so happy we took the chance, we felt we could keep ourselves safe, and we were so grateful for minimum waiting time:). Steve for sure is happy we did it and never have to do it again:).
